Kentucky International Equine SummitLexington, Kentucky April 26-27, 2010. Where Horseplay Is Serious Business.In the Spring of 2010, Lexington will host the Kentucky International Equine Summit, an event designed to bring leaders from all aspects of the horse industry together to examine the most important issues facing the industry. Sponsored biennially by the University of Louisville's Equine Industry Program in cooperation with the University of Kentucky's Equine Initiative, the Kentucky International Equine Summit is designed to help volunteer leaders of equine organizations discover and implement practical solutions to the challenges facing their diverse industry through enhanced communication, scientific research, and expansive cooperation. The Kentucky International Equine Summit is essentially a week-long conference in two days in that there are three two-day sessions running concurrently, each on different topics. In 2008, there were more than 90 different speakers and panelists from five countries involved in the discussions - and this is the nicest season to visit, immediately after the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event and several days before The Kentucky Derby. |
